Hazard Rejects Playing for Inter Miami with Messi

Reports from international newspapers have revealed that Belgian star Eden Hazard, the former winger of Real Madrid, turned down the opportunity to join Inter Miami in the United States and play alongside the Argentine legend Lionel Messi.

Real Madrid terminated Hazard’s contract at the beginning of last June after the player experienced four disastrous seasons since his move from Chelsea.

According to the global website “Goal,” Hazard declined an offer to join Inter Miami in Major League Soccer because he prefers to continue his career in Europe.

Although Hazard hasn’t made a final decision about his next destination, he is not contemplating retiring from football after leaving Real Madrid. He will assess his options with his family to make the right choice.

Hazard’s tenure with Real Madrid, which began in the summer of 2019, after moving from Chelsea in a deal exceeding 100 million euros, did not live up to expectations, and he failed to deliver the expected performances with the club. Consequently, the club’s management decided to terminate his contract this summer.

After Belgium’s exit from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Hazard announced his retirement from international football following the Red Devils’ group stage elimination.
