IIHF World Championship 2024: Schedule, dates, TV channels and more for international hockey tournament
The focus in the hockey world in North America may be on the Stanley Cup playoffs, but on the global scale, all eyes are on the 2024 IIHF World Championship.
The men’s international hockey tournament is set to take place for a week and a half in Czechia this year, as 16 countries battle for the right to be crowned world champion.
Canada enters the 2024 competition as the defending gold medalists. The Canadians defeated Germany in the 2023 gold medal game, taking home their second title in a span of three years and their 28th overall, breaking a tie with Russia/Soviet Union for the most at the Worlds.
Plenty of NHL talent is going to be on display at the event. NHL teams that did not make the postseason are sending over some of their best players for one final competition before the summer.
