Tata Harrier.ev redefines the electric SUV landscape in India

The most anticipated Tata Harrier.ev, the electrified and ingenious version of the popular SUV Tata Harrier, is launched in India at an introductory price of ₹ 21.49 lakh. It comes with a dual motor, Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) system churning out an impressive 504 Nm of torque.
Tata Motors has officially launched its much-awaited Harrier.ev electric SUV. The EV, first unveiled as a concept vehicle two years ago, donned a down-to-earth production avatar last year. It marks a significant step forward in Tata’s electrification strategy, setting a new benchmarks for e-SUVs in the Indian market.
The Harrier.ev, built on the advanced acti.ev+ architecture, promises an impressive combination of performance, cutting-edge technology, and off-road capability, aiming to “delete the impossible” for modern SUV buyers. The platform is designed from the ground up, and houses a powerful dual-motor setup for all-wheel-drive experience.
Exhilarating performance
The front motor generates 116 kW of power, while the rear motor churns out 175 kW and a massive 504 Nm of torque. The output translates to an exhilarating acceleration, with the Harrier.ev capable of sprinting from 0-100 kmph in a just 6.3 seconds! Great news for young driving enthusiasts, who form a major chunk of Harrier buyers.
And that’s not all. Even more impressive is the SUV’s Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) system, a first for a Tata EV. It comes with six pre-programmed terrain modes, allowing the driver to tackle off-road terrains with ease! In addition, the car features a “Transparent Mode,” which uses the camera systems to create a virtual view of the terrain underneath the front of the vehicle, making it easier to navigate tricky obstacles.
The Harrier.ev massive 75 kWh battery pack, which offers a generous range 480 – 505 kms on a single charge. And when it’s time to juice up, you won’t have to wait long. The e-SUV supports fast charging, allowing you to add 250 kms of range in just 15 minutes. To top it all off, Tata is offering a lifetime warranty on the battery pack, a complete peace of mind indeed!
Smart techs
On the inside, the electric car is as futuristic as it is luxurious. The centerpiece of the dashboard is a stunning 14.53-inch Cinematic Infotainment Screen by Harman. This state-of-the-art display, powered by Samsung’s Neo QLED technology, offers crystal-clear visuals and a seamless user experience. The infotainment system is paired with a 10-speaker JBL audio system with Dolby Atmos, for an immersive soundscape.
Further, a host of innovative technologies sets Harrier.ev apart in its class. First, the e-Valet suite featuring Auto Park Assist (APA), which automatically maneuvers the vehicle into parallel or perpendicular spots at the owners command. Reverse Assist automatically retrace the exact path in reverse, while the Summon Mode remotely summon the car in forward or reverse direction, perfect for tight spaces.

Up next in the list are 540 degree surround view including Blind-spot monitor, Digi Access featuring Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) technology, and iRA.ev connected car features including DrivePay that enables payment services directly from the infotainment screen.
