IWBF Asia Oceania Zone Officials remember Barry Spicer – IWBF

IWBF Asia Oceania Zone Officials paid tribute and remembered their brother, former international referee, Barry Spicer.

During the 2022 Asian Para Games, held in Hangzhou, China, the Asia Oceania Zone (AOZ) referees, supervisors, commissioners, and classifiers paused to remember fellow AOZ referee, Barry Spicer (AUS), who passed away suddenly the weekend before the games started.

Barry obtained his IWBF license in 1998 and went on to represent Australia at the 2004 Paralympics in Athens. Barry was an active member of the AOZ community, officiating at numerous AOZ Championships during his active international career.

Always enthusiastic, Barry selflessly shared his knowledge and experience with all and will be greatly missed within the Zone.
