His opponent, Dominic Thiem, had a tough match in the first round. He won in three hard fought sets against Marterer. He played an excellent first set, lost his confidence in the second set and won the third set 6-4. Thiem looked in the first set like in his prime days. He hit many winners and his serve was powerful. Before ATP Estoril, Thiem played a challenger tournament in Zadar, where he lost in the second round against Neumayer. We believe that Thiem will win easily tomorrow. He is still not playing his best tennis, but he looked perfect in the first match. If he could stay consistent, he should be able to take care of the business easily.
