Suns Have Traction On Kevin Durant Trade Now Considered Biggest Available Domino

While there are some potential unknown trade partners for Kevin Durant, the Phoenix Suns are focused on the Minnesota Timberwolves, Houston Rockets, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks.

“There is traction on Kevin Durant trade scenarios,” said Shams Charania on Thursday’s episode of NBA Today. “There are some teams motivated to get a deal done sooner rather than later.”

Durant could be moved by the draft, which will take place in two weeks. Durant’s trade possibilities could be tied to whether the team acquiring him is motivated to extend his contract.

Charania also alluded to the reality that Giannis Antetokounmpo is not projected to hit the trade market. The previous conventional wisdom was that Durant may have to wait until there was a resolution to Antetokounmpo’s situation before he would be moved.

“He is by far the biggest available domino left on the market,” added Charania.
